Another New Product Developed Because Of Collector Requests

Recently we have had requests from several collectors to develop a new product that fits the needs of all collectors. This new product is a list of all publications dealing with Mexican History and Numismatics we have found during our 20+ years of research on Mexican coins. We have taken their requests to heart and have begun the development of this product.

The FoxLair Reference Library Master List^©

Over the years I have developed a rather large list of publications that deal with Mexican history and numismatics and I have always sorted them by authors names, date of publication, etc. like most other libraries. Once we started the Mexican Coin Magic website and started trying to find source information it became apparent this wasn't a very useful way to keep these records.

So with the help of a few good scholars we decided to change this system. Our primary sort is much different than that used by other people and libraries and it is the key for easy usage. While this product won't have wide appeal for the casual collector it should be of help to serious students of Mexican history and numismatics.

The Sorting Sequence

The heart and soul of this new listing system is a new sorting sequence. We begin with books about Mexican Coins and continue from there. After the major categories we use the normal sequencing by author and publishing date. Here are the current major categories in the system:

Ships, Shipping & Lost Treasure Books
US Coinage Books
Latin Coinage Books
Misc. Foreign Coinage Books
Numismatic Monographs
Numismatic Bibliography Books
Misc. Books

Important Foreign Coin Periodicals

This is just the beginning; we will add new categories as there are needed.
